Moulsecoomb Primary School is again being faced with the threat academy ownership, after previous privatisation efforts were prevented by the successful ‘Hands off Moulsecoomb Primary School’ campaign, a new attempt by The Pioneer Academy organisation are persisting in their plans to take control of the school.
96% of parents have opposed the decision, staff have taken strike action 4 times, local MPs have shown support, and campaigners are urging the local community to show solidarity too.
March for Mouslecoomb is taking place this coming Saturday (15 May) and invites you to march with them from the school gates to The Level to demonstrate support. There, you can hear from school staff and parents, plus guest speakers including Lloyd Russell-Moyle MP, Save Our Schools, John Roan Resists – No to Academies, and many more!
