Some of our newer members might not know that one of the great things about your UNISON membership is the wider opportunities outside of the branch you can get involved in.
UNISON are inviting you to celebrate International Women’s Day 2023 in an exciting event in March.
Did you know that UNISON has 1.3 million members and activists, and 70% of these members are women? This event is going to celebrate the vital contributions that women in UNISON make. This includes our care workers, cleaners, school workers, librarians, and administrators in their workplaces, their communities and in our union.
This lively event is taking place in Glasgow on Wednesday 8 March where you can attend workshops, including historical walking tours of Glasgow and banner making, before joining in for music and entertainment in the evening.
Funding is available from the branch for a number of guest places and there will also be a creche available.
If you want to register your interest in a place, please click on the link below and complete the requested information.
