Wellbeing breaks for UNSION members

Outside of the support we offer within the branch, don’t forget there are a number of other benefits offered to you as a UNISON member. As well as health, travel and insurance deals and savings, UNISON manages a welfare charity called There for You which gives advice and support for members experiencing financial or emotional difficulty.

Wellbeing breaks
Breaks are vital to everyone’s wellbeing and can provide welcome relief from stress and respite from difficult circumstances. There for You also offer support for wellbeing breaks to those who cannot afford the cost. Grants are available towards the cost of day trips, short breaks and in exceptional circumstances, for a week-long period.

The various levels of support depend on eligibility criteria, and you can find full information and apply on the Wellbeing Breaks webpage.

For example, you may be eligible for a day trip or short break if you have been on long-term sick leave or have been diagnosed with a serious illness in the last 12 months. There is also eligibility for families with children who sadly have experienced parental bereavement.

All members 20% discount for trips to Croyde Bay
Remember, all members can get a 20% discount on breaks at UNISON’s Croyde Bay holiday resort. A 50% discount is also available to some low paid members.
Croyde Bay Resort is located in North Devon and is owned and operated by UNISON.
It is located next to Croyde Beach and has hotel, self-catering cottages and chalet B&B rooms accommodation options.
