The cost-of-living scandal is pushing working people into poverty.
Hospital laundry workers struggling to clean their own clothes, energy workers unable to keep the lights on in their own homes, school catering assistants who can’t afford to feed themselves.
It’s appalling that a country as rich as the UK is in this situation. But our government has the power to fix it by:
1. Raising the minimum wage to £15 per hour, and
2. Giving inflation busting pay rises to public sector workers.
The money is there. It’s the choice of the government how it’s spent. If they can afford to give tax breaks to the mega-rich, they can afford to pay workers fairly.
Take action today and persuade Members of Parliament to raise the minimum wage.
