The University of Brighton is proposing the closure of One World Nursery, a service that has been providing education and care for the children of staff, students and the wider public for nearly 40 years.
One World is the only remaining nursery operated by the University of Brighton and is widely recognised and respected as a high quality and invaluable resource for the community.
The decision, based on marginal savings, could see 11 staff lose their jobs.
UNISON has lodged a formal dispute with the University and you can read more about the union response on the South East news site.
You can show support by signing the nursery workers’ petition and follow regular updates for the campaign via their dedicated Save One World Nursery Facebook page.
